Must have for your collection!
If you haven’t gotten this book yet, I HIGHLY recommend it! It is absolutely a must have for your home collection!
It’s such a perfect, gentle, yet informative, introduction to Ruby Bridges. It pulled at my heartstrings.
We LOVE Ruby!
Such a sweet and thought provoking story. My kids loved this story about Ruby and how she had the courage to go to a school/environment that didn’t welcome her day after day. It led into a great conversation about segregation and how skin color shouldn’t influence how to your treat people. We also did more research into Ruby Bridges.
Level 3A
When Ruby Bridges attends a new school in the 1960s, she is excited but confused. Why does she need an escort by US marshals? Why is she the only one in her classroom? How could her skin color make such a big difference in the way other people treat her? Follow along as Ruby learns to be “Brave Little Ruby,” a trailblazer who helped change hearts and our nation’s history.
