Each student in grades 7–8 needs their own copy of the 72-page Space Science Student Journal, which includes interactive activities, games, and worksheets the child will complete during the lessons. The parent-led lessons in the Course Book will direct the student regarding when to complete the Student Journal activities. The grades 7–8 journal also includes a student-directed Lesson Extension for each lesson. These allow your older students to dive deeper into the lesson concepts.

Each book in the Science Activity Books series correlates to a Good and Beautiful grades 3–8 science unit, with every two-page spread in the activity book corresponding to a lesson in the science unit. However, the activity books are not integrated into the unit and can be used independently.
