History Year 1 Course Components

Our brand-new full-year History Year 1 course contains 60 lessons. This family-style course brings history to life for children in grades 3–8. Families need one course set that includes the History Year 1 Course Book, Maps & Images, The Big Book of History Stories, and Time Tunnel Review Cards. Each student needs either a Grades 3–6 Student Set or Grades 7–8 Student Set that includes a Time Line book and an age appropriate Student Explorer. Younger children can also participate in the lessons using their very own optional Grades K–2 History Activity Book.

This 32-lesson course, designed for grades 4–8, immerses children in the lives of the Founding Fathers and Mothers as well as the important events and documents that formed America’s government.

March 11, 2025 the brand-new History Year 1 course released. History Years 2–4 are scheduled to release every six months after that.

The original four years of history courses were discontinued in 2024. All complete physical course sets are permanently out of stock. On February 1, 2025, all PDFs and in-stock physical items from our original four years of history courses were removed from the website and will not be restocked. Resources accompanying the original history courses such as Student Explorers and Audio Dramatizations will be available into the foreseeable future on the History FAQs, Helps, and Extras page.
