Required Items Needed for This Course

Each Honors Book Study booklet leads a student through the chosen book, combining studies of language arts, geography, and art. Items needed for the study include: the study booklet and the novel, a blank (unlined) notebook for writing and drawing, and art supplies specific to each book study.

Note: We recommend you purchase each novel from The Good and the Beautiful Library. However, the studies reference chapters, not pages, so the booklets are compatible with other publications of the novels.

If you did not receive all the items listed on your packing slip contact our Customer Support Team at support@goodandbeautiful.com and we will be happy to help you. Purchase or learn more by clicking on each individual item below.

Why Use Honors Book Studies

The main goal of the Honors Book Studies is to teach students to analyze, appreciate, and gain inspiration from good and beautiful literature.

The books used for the Honors Book Studies are more challenging than the required reading books in the high school language arts courses.

In these unique studies, students explore a book’s themes and messages, learn more about the literary value of the book, as well as gain new vocabulary and writing skills that correlate with the book.

A student can complete just one study, or any number of them, in any order.

Ways to use the Honors Book Studies:

  • Finish the school year with a book study (before moving to the next high school course)
  • Do an extra summer study
  • Form a book club and discuss the book with a group
  • Include a book study in your current language arts to make it an honors course
