William and the Wind—The Story of William Kamkwamba
by Shannen Yauger
Great introduction!
My 5 year old enjoys this book so much! She cannot wait to read it herself. It is such a great introduction to ideas, inventing, problem solving, and steam concepts. It sparked an interest in her to figure out how things work and why they were made. I love the morals underlying each chapter and the illustrations are beautiful. We are so happy with everything we’ve purchased from the good and the beautiful!
Level 2B
William and his family were hungry when rain did not come and their crops died. How could he help them? One day, he had an idea: make a windmill to use the power of the wind! This true story shows that when you have a little hope and you work hard, big things can happen.
